4X - Five special callsigns will be used from Israeli lighthouses on 16 August for the International Lighthouse Lightship Weekend: 4X01LH (Jaffa), 4X02LH (Stella Maris), 4X03LH (Ashdod), 4X04LH (Akko), 4X05LH (Tel Aviv/Reading). QSLs for all lighthouses via 4X6ZM.
5H - Alex, SQ9UM will be active as 5H1UM from Zanzibar Island (AF-032), Tanzania on 12-24 August. He will operate FT8/FT4, CW and some SSB on 80-6 metres. QSL via Club Log's OQRS, or via SQ9UM.

5R - Silvano, I2YSB and the Italian DXpedition Team (I1FQH, I1HJT, I2PJA, IK2CKR, IK2HKT, IK2RZP and IV3ZXQ) will be active as 5R8TT (CW, SSB and RTTY) and 5R8XX (FT8) from Nosy Be (AF-057), Madagascar from 29 October to 12 November. CX - CW200DI is a special event callsign for members of Radio Club Uruguayo to celebrate the bicentennial of Uruguayan declaration of independence (25 August 1825) from 20 August to 18 September. QSL via the bureau, LoTW, or direct to CX1AA.
HK - Renato, PY8WW has announced plans to be active (callsign TBA) from Playa Blanca Island (SA-084) on 12-16 November. The island is located within the Utria National Natural Park, and "due to strict environmental regulations, the National Park has prohibited the use of fossil fuels on the island. Therefore, the operation will rely entirely on an EcoFlow power bank system, supported by solar panels. This eco-friendly approach adds complexity and cost, including excess baggage, specialized transport, and equipment logistics". More information is expected in due course.
OH0 - Team OG0C (OH2JIU, OH5CW, OH5CY, OH5CZ, OH5YL, and maybe others) will be active again from the Aland Islands (EU-002) on 17-24 August. Operating from grid square KO09, they will be QRV from 160m to 70cm CW, SSB, FT8, FT4, RTTY, MSK144 and JT65. They will also give 50 MHz EME a try. QSL via OH5CW (direct) and LoTW.
OJ0 - Markus, OH1MN will be active as OJ0MN from Market Reef (EU-053) on 25-30 August. He will operate SSB, CW and digital modes on the HF bands, 6 and 4 metres. QSL via OH1MN; QSOs will be uploaded to Club Log.
OX - "Due to unexpected illness", Markus, DL6YYM has had to cancel his trip to Greenland. He was expected to be QRV as OX/DL6YYM on 15-29 August [425DXN 1788].
PA - The "Dutch Lighthouse Hunt" will run on 1-30 September, when members of the Dutch Radio Group will use eleven special callsigns, each representing a different lighthouse in the Netherlands: PA01LH, PD00LH, PD01LH, PD02LH, PD03LH, PD04LH, PD05LH, PD06LH, PD07LH, PD08LH, and PD09LH. PJ7 - Czech DXpedition team members OK1FCJ, OK2ZA, OK2ZC, OK6DJ and OM5ZW will be active as PJ7K from Sint Maarten (NA-105) on 12-22 September. They will operate CW, SSB, FT8 and RTTY on 160-6 metres, and via satellite. QSL via Club Log's OQRS (preferred), LoTW, or via OK6DJ.

VK9X - After his Lord Howe Island operation [425DXN 1787], Janusz, SP9FIH will be active as VK9/SP9FIH from Christmas Island (OC-002) from 19 September to 3 October. YO - Members of the Federatia Romana de Radioamatorism (FRR) will be active as YO2025ENESCU between 24 August and 21 September, during the George Enescu International Festival and Competition. Held in Bucharest since 1958, the Festival honours and celebrates the memory, the music and the personality of Romanian composer, pianist, violinist and conductor George Enescu (1881-1955).
ZL - ZL100C is a special callsign celebrating the centenary of the New Zealand Association of Radio Transmitters (NZART), which was formed on 16 August 1926. The callsign is valid until 6 August 2026. QSL via the bureau and LoTW. |
