A7 - A71QND is the special callsign for the Qatar Amateur Radio Society to celebrate Qatar National Day (18 December). Also taking part in the celebrations are the Bahrain Amateur Radio Society as A91QTR on 12-18 December, the Kuwait Amateur Radio Society as 9K9QATAR on 14-20 December,the Emirates Amateur Radio Society as A60QATAR on 18-22 December (individual operators may append a serial number to the special callsign, and be active as A60QATAR/0, A60QATAR/1, etc.).

The special callsign memorializes the 100th anniversary since the death of Gustave Eiffel (27 December 1923), the French civil engineer best known for the world-famous Eiffel Tower, built for the 1889 Universal Exposition in Paris, and his contribution to building the Statue of Liberty in New York.

ON - UBA Section Bruxelles-Est (ON5UB) will be active as OR79NUTS on 16-17 December to commemorate the 79th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge during World War II. The suffix of the special callsign is General Anthony C. McAuliffe's famous single-word reply in response to a surrender ultimatum. All QSOs will be confirmed automatically via the bureau.
PJ7 - Edmondo, VA3ITA will be active holiday style as PJ7/VA3ITA from Sint Maarten (NA-105) on 24-31 December. He will operate SSB and digital modes on 40-10 metres. QSL via LoTW only.
PY - Daniel, PT7BI and others will be active as PT7AA on 23-30 December from three World Wide Flora & Fauna sites in the Brazilian state of Ceara, namely the Coco State Park and the Environmental Protection Areas of Rio Pacoti and Sabiaguaba. SV - SZ65RAAG is the special callsign for the Radio Amateur Association of Greece to celebrate its 65th anniversary on 16-31 December. The RAAG has been a IARU member society since 1959.
