4X - The "Land of Craters" programme will see four special stations
operate from the Makhteshim ("craters") in the Negev desert of
Israel. The first activity was conducted by 4X0ARF (November 2020).
Look for 4X0GDL to be QRV from Makhtesh Gadol ("The Big Crater") on

G - Celebrating Saint George, patron saint of England, the Welland

HA - The Hungarian Amateur Radio Society (MRASZ) will commemorate the
230th anniversary of the birth of Samuel Morse with nine special
callsigns: HA230S, HA230A, HA230M, HA230U, HA230E, HA230L, HA230O,
HA230R and HA230MSE. Look for activity on CW and SSB on 17-27

I - II5RCH ("Remembering Chernobyl") is the special callsign for Loria-
no, IZ5RHU to memorialize the 35th anniversary of the Chernobyl Nu-
clear Power Plant disaster from 18 April to 9 May. QSL via IZ5RHU,

I - Members of ARI Belluno will be active as IB3CAI from 1 May to 30
September. QSL via IU3EDK. The special callsign memorializes the
130th anniversary of the local section of the glorious Club Alpino
Italiano (the Italian Alpine Club, founded in 1863), as well as the
70th anniversary of the alpine hut "VII Alpini at Pis Pilon",
operated by CAI Belluno since 1951.
JA - Operated by members of the Denpaken Club and the A1 Club, 8N1MORSE
is a special callsign celebrating the 230th anniversary of the
birth of Samuel Morse and other significant landmarks in the histo-
ry of CW until 28 February 2022. A website is under construction at

JA - Take, JI3DST will be active as JI3DST/5 (QSL via Club Log's OQRS,
or via home call) from Shodo Island (AS-200) from 29 April to 5

ON - OT30CRD is the special callsign for Club Radio Durnal (ON4CRD) to

SP - The Niepolomice Radio Club (SP9MOA) will operate special event sta-
tion SN0IMED on 19-25 April to celebrate International Mother Earth
Day (22 April). Established in 2009 by the UN General Assembly,
International Mother Earth Day promotes a view of the Earth as the
entity that sustains all living things found in nature.
SV - SZ200P is a special callsign for the Radio Amateur Association of
Western Peloponnese to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Greek
Revolution of 1821. Activity started on 9 April and will go through
the end of the year. QSL via LoTW and eQSL.
UA - R35CHA (QSL via RZ5D) and R35YCH (QSL via RW3YS) are two special
callsigns to be used between 17 and 30 April to memorialize the
35th anniversary of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant disaster (26
April 1986).
UA - A team of six operators (M0MSV/RA3NAN, R6LGT, R6MG, RN3BL, RX3F and
RZ3EC) will be active as RI0FF from Iturup Island (AS-025) on 28
July-3 August, and from Sakhalin Island (AS-018) on 4-6 August. QSL

UA2F - Special callsigns RK75AK (UA2FAK), RK75FF (UF2F) and RK75FU (RA2FU)
will be in use between 14 April and 31 July to mark the 75th an-
niversary of Kaliningrad. In 1946 northern East Prussia was annexed
as part of the Russian SFSR by the Soviet Union and named the
Kaliningrad Oblast.
VK - Steve, VK6SJ will be active as VK6SJ/4 from the islands of Iama
(Yam), Thursday and Poruma (Coconut) in IOTA Group OC-138 between
26 April and 4 May. He will be there for work, and will be QRV
during the local evenings. "Most likely only be using FT8", he
says, "but if someone emails me separately and I have the time, I

VK9X - Steve, VK6SJ will be active as VK9XX from Christmas Island (OC-002)
