9K - During the month of February, in celebration of the 60th anniver-
sary of the country's independence, the Kuwait Amateur Radio Soci-
ety (KARS) will activate special callsign 9K60NLD (QSL via 9K2RA),
and all 9K amateur radio operators will be allowed to use the
special prefix 9K60 - e.g. 9K2GS will be signing 9K60GS.
F - Special callsign TM1CCA will be used during the weekends between 30
January and 20 March to draw attention to a French charity support-
ing research on pediatric cancers. Look for activity on the HF
bands CW, SSB, RTTY, FT8 and FT4. QSL via LoTW and eQSL.
GM - Gareth, M0MOL will be active as MM0MOL/p from the main island of
Shetland (EU-012) in February and March. He will operate QRP "with
a typical portable setup" and be QRV mainly in the evenings after
work.
HL - Kang, DS4DRE will be active as DS4DRE/4 from Komun Island (AS-060)
from 1 February until 31 January 2022. He plans to operate SSB and

LU - Special event station L21RCA will be active throughout 2021 to
celebrate the 100th anniversary of Radio Club Argentino , the
national IARU member society, which was founded on 21 October 1921.

LX - Celebrating his 40th anniversary in amateur radio, Andy, LX1DA will
be active as LX40DA from 1 February to 31 March, and again from 1

LZ - Once again Radio Club Blagovestnik (LZ1KCP) will use twelve special
callsigns throughout 2021 to honour as many different Orthodox
saints: LZ21RH (January), LZ544SG (February), LZ250KG (March),
LZ1612EN (April), LZ1072BG (May), LZ308WK (June), LZ950TM (July),
LZ363ER (August), LZ305AI (September), LZ1337KM (October), LZ1470IN

OH0 - Celebrating the Finnish Amateur Radio League's (SRAL) 100th an-
niversary, OH0W will be active from the Aland Islands (EU-002)
between 29 January and 3 February, including an entry in the CQ WW
160-Meter CW Contest. After the contest OH0W will specifically do
some FT8 toward Japan & USA on 80 metres. QSL via LoTW, or via

OZ - Special callsign OV0JUTLANDIA will be active from 1 February to 31
March to commemorate hospital ship Jutlandia's humanitarian
expedition (1951-1953) and Denmark's contribution to the United

UA - Sergey, UA1ATD plans to be active as UA1ATD/p from Kotlin Island
(EU-133) for a few hours (indicatively 7-13 UTC) sometime this
coming week, The Daily DX reports. "Most likely he'll be running
100 watts to a vertical dipole for activity on CW and SSB on 20
meters". On 25 January he logged 350 QSOs during a brief operation
from Verperluda Island (EU-133). All QSOs will be uploaded to Club

YI - Tony, I0IJ reports that Giorgio, YI9WS (IU5HWS) is still operating
from the base camp located some 40 miles away from Baghdad, Iraq
until March. He is a member of the Italian military peacekeeping
mission as a paratrooper in the airborne brigade "Folgore". After
thousands of QSOs with Europe and Russia, he is now mainly working
stations outside Europe in need of Iraq as an all time new one. He
is QRV daily in his spare time, sometimes being forced to interrupt
his radio activity according to the sudden demands of his military

(9-12 UTC), 14.242 kHz (12-17 UTC), 7.132 and 3.799 kHz (17-5 UTC;
