CT - Four members of the Portuguese DX Group (namely CT1EEQ, CT1EGW,
CT1FPA and CT4NH) will be active holiday style as CS5DX from Ilha
do Pessegueiro (EU-167) on 25-26 July. They will operate SSB, FT8
and slow CW mainly on 40, 20, 15 and 10 metres, plus 6m if the band
opens. They will not participate in the IOTA Contest, but simply
"give out EU-167 for those still in need". QSL via Club Log's OQRS,

F - Radio club F4KKE at Saint-Martin-des-Besaces (Normandy) will oper-
ate CW, SSB and digital modes as TM11AD from 31 July to 3 August to
commemorate the role played by the British 11th Armoured Division
during Operation Bluecoat (July-August 1944). QSL via Club Log's
OQRS, LoTW, or via the bureau to F4KKE.
G - A number of Denby Dale Amateur Radio Society's members will each be
running a special event station on 1 August to celebrate Yorkshire
Day: GB2YD, GB4YD, GB5YD, GB6YD, GB8YD, GB8YDS and GB9YDS. Also
taking part in the celebrations will be the Pontefract & District
Amateur Radio Society as GB0YD, and the Wakefield & District Radio
Society as GB0YDS. QSL via operator's instructions.
G - Two special event stations will be active in August to mark the
critical role that radar played in the Battle of Britain 80 years
ago. GB80BRS will be operated to commemorate Bawdsey Radar Station
in Suffolk, which was the location of the world's first operational
radar station. GB80CH will be operated from Chelmsford in Essex,
which has the most complete surviving radar tower from the Battle
of Britain; the callsign's suffix stands for Chain Home, the code-
name for the ring of coastal early warning radar stations built by
the Royal Air Force.
I - Ignazio, IT9AGZ is active as IT9AGZ/IE9 from Ustica Island (EU-051)
until 31 July. He operates SSB on 40, 20 and 15 metres. QSL via

LA - Nick, LB9LG is active as LM0POMOR for the annual Pomor Festival
(22-26 July) on Vardo Island (EU-141). QSL via LB9LG (direct or
bureau), and LoTW.
OH - Jukka, OH3OJ will be active as OH3OJ/1 from Kaurissalo Island (EU-
096) from 30 July to 5 August. He will operate CW, FT8 and some SSB
on 80-6 metres. QSL via Club Log's OQRS, LoTW, or via home call
(bureau preferred).
PA - Special event station PI75VERON will active from 1 August to 31
December to celebrate the 75th anniverary of Vereniging voor
Experimenteel Radio Onderzoek in Nederland (VERON), the Dutch IARU
society which was founded on 21 October 1945. QSL via PA1AW.
UA - Victor, R6AF/p and Valery, RU6DX/p are once again active from
Sudzhuk Island (EU-185) until 28 July. QSLs via Club Log's OQRS, or

XE - Once again special callsign 4A2MAX will be activated on 1-31 August
in remembrance of St. Maximilian Maria Kolbe. Activity will be on
80-6 metres SSB, CW and digital modes. Born in 1894, Father Kolbe
(SP3RN) was killed on 14 August 1941 at Auschwitz. QSL via LoTW,

XW - Mike, XW2DX (ex-UA0XB) is currently active as XW2DX from Vientiane,
and will be staying in Laos for the next few years. He is allowed

YB - Look for YB3MM/9 (22-29 July) and YC9DE/p (23-26 July) to be active
from Nusa Ceningan, a small island close to Lembongan (OC-022). QSL
