9A - Radio Klub Grada Zaboka (9A0Z) & friends will be active as 9A1CHRIS on 4-10 May to honour the memory of Kresimir "Chris" Kovarik, 9A5K (8 May 1974 - 27 February 2019). A special QSL card will be downloadable on http://www.9a0z.com/. Past President of the Croatian Amateur Radio Association (HRS) and Vice Chairman of the IARU Region 1 HF Committee, Chris was the author of DXlog.net and a competitor in three World Radiosport Team Championships (2006, 2014 and 2018). In 2019 he was inducted into the CQ Contest Hall of Fame.
A9 - Special event station A91WTIS will be active on 10-17 May to celebrate World Telecommunication & Information Society Day (17 May). QSL via Club Log's OQRS, or via A92AA. The purpose of World Telecommunication and Information Society Day is to help raise awareness of the possibilities that the use of the Internet and other information and communication technologies can bring to societies and economies, as well as of ways to bridge the digital divide.
G - From England, special callsigns commemorating the end of World War II in Europe include GB4VVV run by G0SFJ on 27 April-11 May (the suffix is the distinctive dit-dit-dit-dah used by the BBC in its foreign language programmes to occupied Europe, QSL via eQSL only) and GB75VET run by M0IRU on 1-28 May (QSL via M0IRU and LoTW).
GI - GB75VEC is the special callsign for the Grey Point Fort Amateur Radio Society to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Victory in Europe. Activity will take place from MI0MOD's QTH in Lisburn, Northern Ireland, starting on 7 May. See qrz.com for QSL instructions

JA - Once again the ITU Association of Japan's Amateur Radio Club will operate special event station 8J1ITU from 30 April to 31 May to celebrate the World Telecommunication and Information Society Day (17 May) and the creation of the International Telecommunication Union. LA - Celebrating the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II in Europe (8 May 1945), Hugo, LA5YJ will be active as LI8MAI on 1-31 May. QSL via LA5YJ.

UN - Commemorating the end of World War II, special callsigns UP75P, UP75O, UP75B, UP75E, UP75D, UP75A and UP75POBEDA will be active from Kazakhstan on 2-9 May during the Memorial Pobeda-75 ("pobeda" is Russian for "victory"). VE - Gilles, VA2EW (VE2TZT) will be active as CF2T between 8 May and 6 June to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II. Main activity will be during the CQ WW WPX CW Contest. QSL via LoTW.
